Republic Day in Rajsamand |

The Indian Republic Day on 26.01.2012 was celebrated in Rajsamand with a big event including dances and marches by various groups. Jatan also joined with a still life concerning domestic violence on a carnival truck. Dr. Kailash Brijwasi was honoured for his and Jatan's work in the Rajsamand district by the government! On Makan Sankranti, 14.01.2012, the children of the Apna Jatan Kendra in Neemach Kheda visited their friends in Ram Nagar and enjoyed sports and games together! Dr. Kailash at 5th NSC |

On December 16th to 17th, 2011 Dr. Kailash Brijwasi took part in the 5th National Skill Conference at the Gorky Sadan, Kolkata. He was invited to deliver a presentation of the topic “EDP and its various aspects” as one of the speaker. Entrepreneurship development is an important component of FVTRS activities in an effort to replicate and trigger more successful entrepreneurs. Dr. Kailash looked into how one could be instrumental in meeting the aspirations of the budding young minds to succeed as entrepreneurs. |

Celebration of World Aids Day |

On WAD on 1.12.2011 the children of both Apna Centers started a march through their villages and distributed pamphlets to the people to raise awareness on the severe topic. |

New Makeup for the Apna Center |

In November 2011 the Center in Ram Nagar also got a new look. After the basic painting-work was completed by our volunteers, the children redesigned the center themselves by putting their own paintings on the walls of the center. |

Children's Day Celebration |

For the special occassion of the Children's Day on November 14th, we took the Kids of our Apna Center in Ram Nagar to Gulab Bagh Garden to enjoy the playground, some delicious snacks and the happiness to be a child! The children of both centers were also invited to the R. Kay-Mall, Udaipur to celebrate the Children's Day with a film show. |

We are happy to inform you about the inauguration of Mahila Suraksha evam Salah Kendra (MSSK) in Rajsamand District on 14-10-2011. In the center women who experience domestic violence can seek support. Mahila Salah Evam Suraksha Kendra is located in Police premises (Mahila Thana, Bhilwara Road) in Rajsamand district. |

New Makeup for the Apna Center |

In September 2011 children, teachers and volunteers created a new design for the Apna Center in Neemach Kheda. The syudents enjoyed the painting and within three days the former grey building changed into a place where everyone loves to learn. |

From 17.-19. September 2011 some woman learnt to stitch various designs of bags during a workshop organized by Jatan. Jatan will try to sell the produced bags. The women could really expand their knowledge of techniques during these three days. |

Board-Meeting |

On Thursday 24th 2011 Jatans yearly Board-meeting took place in Railmagra. The Jatan Staff presented all the projects conducted during the previous year to the Board-Members. Afterwards a discussion started and suggestions for the future were made. |

Raksha Project signed |

The big new Project all over Rajasthan, funded by Pathfinder International, has been signed and started in November. It will last until October 2011. For this project Jatan works in over 200 villages with 600 Front Line Workers. |
