 Dr. Kailash Brijwasi was born on June 25th, 1963 in Udaipur city. He holds an MSW (Master in Social Work) from Rajasthan University, an M.A in Sociology, LLB (from the college of law) and a PhD in Sociology from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University. He has an extensive experience in social work and has held various positions including- Field Program Coordinator at Vidhya Bhawan Education Center, Associate Professor in the Centre of Women’s Studies at Vidyapeeth University, Project Officer at Lok Jumbish Project in Railmagra as well as Development Professional at Seva Mandir.
In 2001, Dr. Brijwasi founded JATAN and has since been expanding the work of the organization and its staff capacity to now cover over 4 blocks in the district. Dr. Brijwasi believes that educating and working with youth is the key to changing a community and has made that notion the core mission of Jatan.
